French Cut&Thrust Dagger

 Out of Stock

This piece is based on a picture found in an old pamphlet from the early 1900's which had a photograph of a French Cut- And-Thrust Sword with a matching dagger. The dagger was then replicated, as it is quite an attractive piece. Combined with the French Cut- And-Thrust sword, this dagger made an excellent fighting combination, and one that could compete successfully with the rapiers and main gauche combinations in use at the time. This is an attractive piece, and could of course be used separately as well. The blade of the dagger is tempered high carbon steel. The grip is wood covered in leather and wire. Also includes a scabbard. Originals from circa 1550.

Weight 450g (1 lb), overall 47cm (18”), blade 31cm (11 ¾”) long, 3.2cm (1 ¼”) wide, 4.8mm (3/16”) thick. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts.
