Bec De Corbin

Used for foot combat, the Raven's Beak (meaning of Bec De Corbin in Old French) was considered a knightly weapon and saw action on the battlefield, as well as in the tournament list. The name was taken from the large deadly back spike and it’s easy to see why on this example from Paris. It is 15cm (6”) long and has a reinforced tip for punching through mail and armor. The head also has a long 4 pronged hammer head and a top blade. A steel butt spike on the end of the hardwood shaft allows thrusts with both ends of the weapon. Shaft made of hardwood and steel parts high carbon steel.

Overall length 173cm (68”). Top blade 30cm (12”) long, 2.5cm (1”) wide and 4.8mm (3/16”) thick. Weight 2.5kg (5 ½ lbs). Made by Windlass Steelcrafts.
