Description of the Product
The Normans used these types of kite shields, which are wider at the top and taper down. Through their conquests the shield type spread all over Europe. A triangular shield was a part of every knights armor.
This knightly shield is made of sturdy plywood and has a griffin painting on it. It will help shield small warriors from spears, arrows and swords, or whatever else your opponent might have in store for you.
This knightly shield for kids is decorated with a griffin. A griffin has the head, wings and front legs of an eagle, and the body, hind legs and tail of a lion. Griffins have been depicted for almost 4000 years, and they are often said to guard treasure. As the amalgamation of lion, the king of the animals, and of eagle, the king of the birds, the griffin symbolizes strength and intelligence, courage and leadership.
- The shield measures approximately 36,5 cm wide and 50 cm high
- There are two straps at the back of the shield for correct and optimal use and carrying
- Made of plywood
