Description of the Product

The Normans used these types of kite shields, which are wider at the top and taper down. Through their conquests the shield type spread all over Europe. A triangular shield was a part of every knights armor.

This knightly shield is made of sturdy plywood and is decorated with a classic painted dragon. It will help shield small warriors from spears, arrows and swords, or whatever else your opponent might have in store for you.

Dragons are held in the highest regard in many cultures and traditions. In the Celtic tradition dragons were symbols of fertility, wisdom and immortality, but also represented the untamed forces of nature. Despite its symbolism, the dragon shield is well suited for the small, more tamed forces of nature, and their knightly plays.
