Hnefatafl (Ëne-fÉ-taË-f(É)l) is a simple game of strategy, that has been popular since 400 AD especially in Scandinavia. The name roughly translates as âThe King's Tableâ, recalling a time of the powerful Viking jarls and their battling armies. Since itÂŽs day of origin, Hnefatafl has stood the test of time as a great game for all the family.
This high quality Hnefatafl set contains 37 playing pieces; consisting of 1 king, 12 defenders and 24 attackers in two different coloured designs. The set also includes a natural linen playing board, and playing rules in English, Norwegian, Spanish, French, German & Japanese.
