Description of the Product

Vikings and other Northern Europeans of the Viking Age used chains for closing cloaks and hanging different accessories. Chains were also used as decoration by themselves, sometimes to show off the wealth of the person carrying them.

This replica of a Viking double-link chain is perfect for the historical Viking outfit. It is made of bronze according to historical models found from eastern Sweden, Finland and the Baltic.

The length of 100 cm suits very well if you want to connect two brooches with two chains (the other chain a little longer than the other so that one is hung higher and the other lower). Longer length also allows more possibilities with customization, as you can shorten the chain or layer more than one chain. Long chain is also excellent for many "Do it yourself" projects as it's easy to make different sized chains from this long one.
