During the renaissance a cloak like this would have served several purposes: it kept the wearer warm and dry, and it protected other clothes from wear and tear.
This cloak is a versatile piece of clothing, suitable to accompany any renaissance outfit, giving them that little bit of extra authenticity. The weather no longer gets to make you choose between dressing appropriately and dressing comfortably, whether in the woods or to a banquet or even in the opera scene. This full sized cloak is approximately 130 cm long from the shoulder down and is suitable for all shapes and sizes.
Made of heavy, dark navy blue wool with a black poly-cotton lining, this cloak has a double mantle and a high Nehru collar. Heavy-duty elastic loops and buttons at the collar ensure a strong closure. The wool blend fabric is made of 69% sheep wool, 19% polyester, 7% nylon and 5% acrylic.
You feel like a baron or baroness with this exquisite cloak made with great care of rich materials. This cloak is suitable to your character from the renaissance till modern era to the end of the 19th century. This cloak can be worn as a traditional cape, over your shoulders. It also has the option to slide your arms through the two generous side-slits so you can wear this cape as a sleeveless jacket. Arm slits allow you to work with your hands in the cold of the night without opening your warm cloak.
