These earrings are modeled after spherical quartz (rock crystal) pendants from the Viking Age. The original pendants were found in Gotland, Sweden and date to the mid-11th century.

Pendants made of quartz are remarkable evidence of the highly developed jewelry design in the late Viking Age. Even complete necklaces made of quartz with silver settings and precious silver beads have been found on Gotland, which makes these lavish accessories an absolute masterpieces of Viking Age jewelry.

Unlike the original quartz models, we offer these Viking sphere earrings with a glass ball, which makes them more affordable.
The Gotland sphere earrings are made of bronze, and come with an option of silver plating. They are sold as a pair. They can be worn as a perfect accessory for historical reenactment, LARP costumes or as everyday jewelry.
