Description of the Product

When designing this katana the designer wanted to combine the agility and swiftness of Wakizashi sword with the reach and effectiveness of a full sized katana. The attractive Unokubi-zukuri style blade enables this katana to have a perfect balance without sacrificing any cutting power. This is a katana you need to experience in order to understand its true potential in speed and handling.

​​The nagasa is skillfully hand forged and polished using only traditional methods. It's made from super strong T10 steel and has an appealing and aggressive real clay tempered hamon line. The cutting edge is honed carefully by hand to ensure a razor sharp finish. Meticulously detailed and unique Yōkai Oni motif fuchi, kashira, tsuba and menukis elaborately fitted on hardwood tsuka with brown Katatemaki-wrapping (battle wrapping). Elegant brass habaki and seppa finalize the set.

​The saya is true one of a kind masterpiece.  The all black hardwood scabbard features a gorgeous hand carved dragon and genuine buffalo horn koiguchi, kojiri and kurikata. A brown premium grade silk sageo and multiple layers of black lacquer give a finishing touch.
