Description of the Product

The shield is decorated with a unicorn motif. The unicorn is a legendary creature that has been described since antiquity by Indus Valley civilizations, and referenced not in Greek myths, but in their natural history. The unicorn also features in the Bible, and as such it was an important animal in Medieval Europe.

In European folklore, the unicorn is an extremely wild white horse-like animal with a long horn. The unicorn symbolized purity and grace, and could only be captured by a maiden. Unicorn's horn was believed to neutralize poison, as well as hold other magical and medicinal properties.

The gorgeous shield can be used by a small warrior to guard against spears as well as fierce sword blows, meaning that the medical corps are not in such a high demand at all times on the battlefields.

  Super impressed! I'll admit I'm no historian, but the cloak I purchased was both fashionable and practical!
