Description of the Product
This black and yellow shield is decorated with eagle motif. Eagles were common symbols in medieval times. These kings of the sky are majestic and powerful animals and thus excellent symbols for any knight or ruler to choose as his/her own.
The shield is most likely the first man made defensive artifact, and thus the history of shield use goes well beyond written history. Shields have been made of wood, leather, twined of twigs, all possible metals, even of turtle shells.
