Description of the Product

Red Dragon Sparring Gloves have been developed together with the HEMA community and contain many important features for a reasonable price. The overlapping plastic finger plates ensure that the chance of a weapon making contact with your fingers is kept to a minimum, whilst providing maximum mobility. The tips of the fingerplates are slightly rolled so that they will protect the fingertips. The cuff is closed with an overlapping padded Velcro-strip, as well  as with laces with a toggle. The combination of plastic protective plates and high impact shock absorbing foam provide a high level of protection from many types of blunt weapons typically used by martial artists. The tough microfiber outer material provides long lasting protection and durability.

Please note that these gloves are designed for sparring with synthetic swords. Whilst most people deem them durable enough for controlled sparring with (blunt) steel weapons as well, the gloves will deteriorate at a faster rate as a consequence. Red Dragon HEMA Sparring Gloves are not indestructible and as with any other sports kit, they will need replacing over time in active use to maintain a good level of protection.

12”: 110 mm across the inside palm, 180 mm from palm/wrist to tip of middle finger.
13”: 120 mm across the inside palm, 200 mm from palm/wrist to tip of middle finger.
