Description of the Product

The Renaissance meant a major shift in many areas of life, including clothing. For the first time clothes were tailored, in the sense that we now perceive tailoring. The common old chemise was soon replaced with the staple of renaissance fashion, the white shirt with a fold down collar. These shirts tended to have full sleeves and a tie at the wrists and the collar.

This simple and attractive shirt has been left plain and unadorned, so it is suitable for a maximum number of historical periods. The shirt is loose and comfortable, and provides freedom of movement for swordplay and reenactments. The shirt looks great worn under a jerking, jack or buff coat, but it can naturally be worn just as it is. Made of smooth cotton, which has a historical look to it.
