Description of the Product
Viking swords were formidable and near legendary in design, and served a pivotal part in Norse martial heritage. Created to deal with shields, mail and thick fur and leather armor, it was more than a match for any hand-weapon of its day. Its short hilt combined with the distinct lobed pommel gave the wielder a snug grip for exceptionally versatile action. With its capacity for delivering rapid single-handed strikes, it was ideal for fighting armed with a shield.
This viking sword is decorated with the image of the ravens Hugin and Munin. The raven has been a recurring element in human myths and legends throughout the time. It was a sacred animal to the northern Germanic tribes, and early Celts believed that the raven was a messenger of the Otherworld. The most famous sacred ravens were perhaps Hugin (Thought) and Munin (Memory), who were the faithful companions of the Norse god Odin.
Roleplay is such an important part of a child’s development, enhancing their creativity, social skills, all while having fun. This wooden Viking sword will set their imaginations running wild, and it has been proven to work in fights against monsters, orcs, dragons and other baddies. The sword belt also comes in handy when practicing knightly manners, such as walking among unarmed civilians. A knight can be a knight even in busy environments, such as markets and fares, and the weapon is never misplaced by accident.
