I must admit that it was difficult to name this notebook. As a fan of JRR Tolkien, I wanted to write that here we simply have Ent. But I felt that there is something even deeper in a human-shaped wood. Of course, Ents, tree-like creatures, shepherds of the forests are interesting in themselves and are based on an old tradition. In addition to Ireland and England, old fairy-tales of talking trees can be found in for example India and Greece. In ancient Persian fables, we're told that even Alexander the Great himself went to seek advice and wisdom from an old and wise tree about his own mortality. But bigger than Ents is still Mother Nature, Earth Mother, Mother Earth, who is responsible for all living things, giving birth to life and shaping nature. In many ancient cultures the Mother Nature not only cares for and maintains the earth and nature as a separate spirit being, but is the earth itself. Sometimes the plants grows on Earth Mother and sometimes the vegetation itself is part of the Nature Mother. One way or another, back then as today, the Mother Earth is important and must be taken care of, for example just like the Ents do.

This journal has thick embossed leather covers and inside you can find approx. 240 empty handmade paper pages waiting for your notes, drawings, spells, thoughts, travel plans, or whatever you fancy. You can use this book for example as a diary, for customer orders, drawings, as a gardeners notebook, travel book, guest book (also why not as a quest book) or as a book for your own family tree, recipe book and so on.
