It includes the famous Viking “goggles”, the band of steel that protected the nose, eyes and upper cheek bones without interfering with breathing or visibility. It is an impressive helmet that conveys the warlike and fighting aspects of the warriors who used them all across the world, from Bagdad to Greenland, in voyages of trade, exploration, conquest and pillage.
