Description of the Product

D-Guard Bowie was a popular knife in the Confederacy in the Civil War of the United States. It was used to chopping branches, splitting logs, slicing saplings and even had its way with a Yankee or two. Nowadays re-enactors use it even to dig cannon emplacements! D-Guard Bowie has a contoured wooden grip with light stain and a steel guard. The massive blade in size of a small sword is made of high carbon steel and holds an edge well. Includes a leather sheath with metal furniture.

The length of the blade is 46 cm
(18”) and the overall length of the knife is 58 cm
(23”). Blade is 4.1 cm
(1 5/8”) wide and 4.8 mm
(3/16”) thick. Weight 600g (1lb 5oz). Made by Windlass Steelcrafts.
