Perfect addition for example to any Viking-Era outfit but suits well for pirate outfits also. Wide sturdy belt like this gave the warriors of the time good poise and also served as extra protection, protecting the sensitive stomach and kidney area on the back side. Wide belts like this are often also called kidney belts, as wide sturdy belts like this were intended precisely to protect the kidneys.

This belt is embossed throughout with interlaced knot ornaments. Ornaments like this were popular in both Celtic culture and in the Viking Scandinavia. This belt has three semicircular metal rings for attaching accessories. Knives, bags and other important small accessories and weapons can be hung and carried easily on these metal loops.

This wide belt can be tightened at the waist with two 2.5 cm wide straps / belts that go around the entire waist and are closed at the front with brass buckles. These straps are sown into the wider belt, so they cannot be used for hanging accessories.
