Millions have grown up with J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings since the 1950’s. The classic epic is considered by many to be the greatest fantasy tale ever told. The story is one of the struggle between good and evil, but also of the role small ordinary folk can play in changing the world. The book trilogy was named the most popular book of the 20th Century, and Peter Jacksons feature film trilogy has won awards, as well as a legendary status of its own, since coming out in 2001-2003. The Hobbit is a prequel to the Lord of the Rings, the book having been published in 1937, and the movie trilogy having come out 2012-2014. The movies brought Middle-earth to life in stunning and faithful detail, giving that world an unimaginable authenticity, which is a major part of why the movies are still so beloved. We are thrilled to be able to bring you the swords and jewelry from these films. They may not be forged by high elves in Gondolin, or Weta Workshop in New Zealand, but they are officially licensed and meticulously crafted, so that you too can own a piece of the magic.

The Fellowship were given brooches of green leaf veined with silver when they bid farewell to Lothlórien, an elven kingdom of the Galdhrim, ruled by Galadriel and Celeborn. The brooches resembled newly opened leaves of a beech, and were used to fasten the grey elven cloaks Galadriel herself had made for the travelers. When Merry and Pippin were captured by orcs and were being taken to Isengard, Pippin was able to discard his brooch on the wayside as a mark for their rescuers. Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas were pursuing the captured Hobbits, and Aragorn found the brooch, which gave them hope that the Hobbits were still alive, as “Not idly do the leave of Lórien fall.”

This elven leaf brooch is a reproduction of the brooches worn by the members of the Fellowship of the Ring from the movie trilogy The Lord of the Rings. The brooch is made of silver plated metal and has rich green enameling. The brooch is approximately 7 x 5 cm in size, and has a needle in the back for attaching.
