Description of the Product

Practice makes perfect. Before reaching levels of excellence, however, that practice should be conducted in relative safety. That is now possible with this synthetic training spear head. Practice weapons of all kinds always have to balance realism with safety. If the weapon is too realistic it will function like the real weapon and there is a risk of serious and unnecessary injury. If the weapon however is too soft and bendy, it will be useless as a training tool as it will move and act differently from the real deal. The material used in this synthetic weapon is Santoprene, which combines the best qualities of rubber and polypropylene.

This spear head is quite soft and flexible enough to prevent the likelihood of most bodily injury. The edges are rounded and the point has a rounded safety tip for extra protection. For sufficient realism, however, the blade has to be firm enough, and not wobble. Therefore even a synthetic blade might cause injury, especially to the face or the eyes, so appropriate protection must be utilized at all times when using this training weapon.

This spear head has been carefully fashioned to look as realistic as possible, so it can be effectively used in solo practice, training drills, disarm drills, and demonstrations, or any other activity where you want a reasonably close approximation of realism but not the extreme danger and risk associated with an actual weapon. This trainer is affordable, functional and very durable.

Very nice and finished piece that looks good and functions well as a training tool in martial arts, as a demonstration piece or as an accessory for your reenactment- or LARP-gear. Manufacturer: Cold Steel.
