About Short Swords

Throughout the ages, short swords have always been used both as a secondary sword next to the main sword, and as a handy small weapon by themselves. Because of their short length, these swords were used as a one hand sword with shield, or as a knife outside of the battlefields. Sometimes it might be difficult to recognize a short sword apart from a dagger. However a rule of thumb is that even short swords are made to cut and slit whilst daggers main purpose is to stab and pierce.
